Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 8, 2026
Runway ("Runway", "we", "us") is the seller and provider of the Runway service. These Terms & Conditions form an agreement between you and Runway covering your use of the Runway website and application (the "Service").
1. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Runway on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
2. The Service
Runway lets employers build onboarding plans, role templates, schedules, required reading, and progress tracking, and lets invited employees view and update their own plan. Features available to you depend on the plan you have selected.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, including activity by employees you invite.
- You are responsible for the content you upload, including any personal data about your employees, and for having the right to process it.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable law;
- commit fraud, send spam, or impersonate another person or organisation;
- infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including uploading malware, probing or scanning for vulnerabilities, circumventing plan limits, or scraping data;
- resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the Service;
- share your login with people outside your organisation, or use one subscription to serve multiple unrelated businesses;
- use the Service to send unsolicited marketing, harvest contact details, or store data you have no lawful basis to hold;
- place automated load on the Service beyond normal human use, including bulk automated requests or attempts to overload our systems.
Prohibited content
You may not upload, store, or transmit through Runway any content that is: sexually explicit or pornographic; child sexual abuse material; hateful, harassing, or that incites violence; threatening or abusive toward an individual; defamatory; promoting self-harm; instructional for weapons, explosives, or illegal drugs; or otherwise illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.
Prohibited businesses and activities
Runway may not be used by, or to support the operations of: adult entertainment; gambling, betting, lotteries, or sweepstakes; cryptocurrency trading, mining, token sales, or speculative investment schemes; multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, or get-rich-quick programmes; the sale of firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives, tobacco, vaping products, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia; counterfeit or stolen goods; payday or high-interest lending, debt collection, or credit repair; essay mills or academic dishonesty services; hacking, spyware, or account-credential services; human trafficking or prostitution; or any activity subject to applicable sanctions or export controls.
Reporting and enforcement
If you believe content or activity on Runway breaches these rules, email support@runwayonboarding.io. We investigate every report and may remove content, suspend accounts, or terminate access, with or without notice where the breach is serious or ongoing.
5. Licence and intellectual property
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. Runway retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in the Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding. You retain ownership of the content you put into Runway, and grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely in order to provide the Service to you.
6. Service level
We work to keep Runway available and reliable, but the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
7. Payment, subscriptions, and taxes
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown on our pricing page. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at your next renewal. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page in your account.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund commitment is described in our Refund Policy.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay for your plan, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and a chance to fix the problem first. You may stop using Runway and close your account at any time.
If your paid plan ends, your existing onboarding plans and templates remain visible under free-plan limits; you may not be able to add new ones until you upgrade. On account closure we will delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Notice, after a reasonable window for you to export it.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these terms.
11. General
- You may not assign this agreement without our consent. We may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and disputes will be heard by the courts located there.
- We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to Runway through the contact details published on this site. Billing and refund questions are handled by Paddle at paddle.net.
